Here's the official thread for Shadowhunters discussion! What did yall think of the new episode? I finally liked Lydia, for once, during the trial. The more I watch, the more I realize that Shadowhunters, as a race, are just not very nice! Lol.

I haven't watched the episode yet. (Hoping to later today) but I always liked Lydia's character. She kind of reminds me of a female version of Alec in a way. But yeah, from the show and reading the first book the Shadowhunters are a very military and honor oriented society. Anything that doesn't fit into their war strategy is not welcome.

I just watched the new episode. It was a doozy that's for sure. I loved the Malec. I'm also starting to like Lydia more as well. I read the books though, sooooo I'm like how long are they going to keep up the "incest" charade for. I don't know if you have read the books or not Dominic... so i don't want to post too many spoilers if so. I really like what they've done with the show so far.. except a few things. I don't like the complete negativity between Jace/Alec right now. It's not right. Because even in the books when he is in league with the big big bad... Alec didn't even betray Jace then. It makes him seem petty and jealous. Because they are not only Parabatai, they are legit brothers... even if Jace was adopted... but the relationship between them in the books is blood is NOT thicker than water... and it's so important their familial relationship. That's pretty much my only grievance with the show thus far.
